The Simplified Communication in the Theatre
In my research, I examine whether the presence of the actor along with the visual and musical layers of a theatrical performance are able to fulfil the same function as that of simplified communication. I also explore how the possibilities provided by theatre facilitate the comprehension of a literary work for young people with learning difficulties without having to use a replacement text that affects the poetical quality of the original.
