Affirmation and Transcendence
This study examines theatre as a space of existential affirmation and transcendence, focusing on the tension between subjective experience and the search for meaning. Drawing on philosophical frameworks from phenomenology and existential thought, the article explores how theatrical creation negotiates the limits of representation and conceptual knowledge. Theatre is approached not merely as an aesthetic form, but also as a mode of understanding that engages the human condition in its ontological vulnerability. Through an analysis of artistic processes and performative presence, the study argues that transcendence in theatre does not imply escape from reality, but an intensified confrontation with it. Affirmation emerges as an ethical and experiential act, rooted in corporeality, perception, and lived time. Ultimately, the article positions theatre as a privileged space where thought, affect, and existence intersect beyond fixed certainties.
